The ABC's of Mental Health

The ABCs of Mental Health (launched September, 2008 by the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre)  provides mental health resource materials for teachers who are concerned about behaviours of children from Kindergarten to grade 8.  The site is organized by behaviours exhibited in the classroom, and not by diagnosis.  The materials provide guidance on when a behaviour is typical for that age and state, and when intervention in the classroom or by a mental health professional is advisable.  It describes contributing factors to the behaviour.  It also provides suggested strategies for intervention in the classroom.
