Management of severe malnutrition: A manual for physicians and other senior helath workers (World Health Organization, 1999)

This manual provides practical guidelines for the management of those with severe malnutrition. It seeks to promote the best available therapy so as to reduce the risk of death, shorten the length of time spent in hospital, and facilitate rehabilitation and full recovery. Of particular emphasis is the management of severely malnourished children. This manual may serve as a resource to ameliorate the effects of malnourishment among children, especially during emergency situations.
