Guiding Principles

The principles of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) were created by the partners of the Consultative Group on ECCD. They are based on research related to the importance of the early years in establishing the foundations for an individual’s current and future growth, development, and well-being, and on international experience in creating successful policies, strategies, and financing to support young children and their families.
